On the Pacific coast you'll find a row of fantastic beaches. Beware of the waves and currents, they can be really hazardous. Close to the Costa Rican border you have San Juan del Sur, a cozy little town where you can sail, fish and surf.

Nicaragua has a varied nature. Hot plains on the West Coast, lush tropical vegetation on the Atlantic Coast and mountains in between. On the island Ometepe you are close to paradise; climb one of the two volcanoes if you have good physics.

In the archipelago Solentiname the local artists are known for their primitive paintings. Take a tour on the Papaturro River with lizards, turtles and lots of birds. Then keep on down the San Juan River where you can cross to Costa Rica.
