Passport

Your passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay in Guatemala.

Ticket

You need to have a ticket for return or onward travel.

Taxes

Airport departure fee when leaving Guatemala: US$ 30.00 + Q20.00 (Security tax).

Visa not required

A visa is not required to travel to Guatemala for nationals of the following countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela.

Visa or tourist card required

Nationals from the following countries need a visa or tourist card to visit Guatemala: Bahrain, Czech, Iceland, Kuwait, Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia and South Africa.

Visa required

Nationals from the following countries are required to have a visa before entering Guatemala: Antigua & Barbuda, Armenia, Barbados, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Colombia, Comoros, Cyprus, Dominica, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Hungary, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kiribati, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Morocco, Nauru, Niger, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Russia, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Korea, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Swaziland, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Western Samoa.

Visa and approval required

Nationals of countries that are not on the lists above need visa and advance approval from Dirección General de Migración.

Visa or tourist card

A visa or touris card is required for nationals of other countries.
